About The Role

This is a key role within our growing Data Science team, where you'll use cutting-edge machine learning and AI to solve complex business problems. You'll have the autonomy to lead projects from ideation to deployment, directly impacting our business across departments like Marketing, IT, Operations, and Finance. You'll be working with modern cloud-based tools and technologies, building solutions that drive tangible value.

Role Responsibilities

• End-to-end Machine Learning: Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models that solve real-world problems.
• Pushing boundaries with AI: We’re continuing to explore applications for AI across the business, help us show what’s possible and measure the impact of new tools.
• Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex model results into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, enabling data-driven decisions.
• Model Management: Own the full lifecycle of deployed models, from monitoring performance and accuracy to identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Strategic Impact: Contribute to our machine learning roadmap, helping to define the future of our data science capabilities.
• Data Stewardship: Collaborate with the team to ensure data integrity, maintain our BI platform, and optimize data structures for efficient analysis.
• Team Collaboration: Share knowledge, best practices, and new ideas with a collaborative team of data scientists.

About You

Skills / Competencies

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience designing, building, and deploying machine learning models (e.g., classification, regression).
• Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, with extensive experience in data exploration, cleaning, and manipulation using SQL.
• Domain Knowledge: A keen interest in AI and its application within a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
• Communication & Influence: The ability to simplify complex data and model results for non-technical audiences and influence key business decisions.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for turning large, transactional datasets into actionable business insights.
• Project Management: Experience managing projects from start to finish and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
