We're looking for a Junior Data Scientist eager to apply their analytical and modelling skills to support data-driven decisions that improve performance, enhance customer engagement, and increase profitability across the retail value chain.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyse consumer and sales data: Work with large, complex datasets to uncover insights on shopper behaviour, purchasing trends, and retail performance.
  • Support predictive modelling: Collaborate on machine learning models to forecast demand, optimise inventory, and personalise the customer journey.
  • Develop retail data solutions: Build algorithms and tools that drive smarter pricing, promotion, and merchandising strategies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and product teams to align data science initiatives with business goals.
  • Data storytelling: Design and maintain dashboards and visualisations that translate data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field: Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
  • Programming proficiency: Experience with Python and SQL for data analysis, manipulation, and basic modelling.
  • Understanding of machine learning: Exposure to predictive modelling techniques, particularly in Time Series Forecasting, NLP, or Recommendation Systems.
  • Data visualisation: Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills: Able to interpret complex data and share insights clearly with both technical and commercial teams.
