Data Scientist - ICT & Digital Services

Based: Hybrid working – during probation you will be required to work 3 days in the office at Memorial House in Coalville and 2 days from home. After a 6-month probation, this will average to 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm to be agreed with line manager.

Salary: £43,001 - £47,779 per annum (ICT RFJ 7).

The role

We are recruiting a Data Scientist to leverage data analytics, drive insights and improve the quality and efficiency of our housing services. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to extract, analyse and interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making and policy development. Reporting to the Insights Manager, you will present complex data using dashboards, visualisations and reports, ensuring accessibility to non-technical stakeholders. You will analyse the effectiveness of housing initiatives, schemes and operational processes, offering recommendations for performance improvement.

About You

We are looking for a Data Scientist with a good understanding of the social housing sector. You will have extensive experience of SQL, with experience working with large databases and data warehouses. You'll be proficient in Python, R, or other relevant programming languages and have experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch). With a background in data mining and pattern recognition you'll be an expert in statistical modelling, predictive analytics and regression techniques. An industry certification in data science or a related field is required.

Educated to A level. Degree or equivalent is desirable. Azure certifications and Agile are essential for the role.
