Compensation : $130K

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and optimizing gradient boosting ML models (XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost)
• Delivering high-accuracy financial and operational forecasts
• Engineering and tuning robust, interpretable models with open-source tools
• Using internal + external datasets, including macroeconomic indicators
• Translating insights via Power BI/Tableau dashboards and stakeholder presentations
• Collaborating closely with finance, ops, and analytics leaders
• Applying modeling best practices like version control and performance testing

What You’ll Need to be Considered

• Must be local to Birmingham
• Demonstrated expertise with gradient boosting frameworks (XGBoost, LightGBM, etc.)
• Strong experience forecasting KPIs like sales trends, AR, and working capital
• Comfort building from scratch using open-source ML tools and Python or R
• Ability to translate complex models into actionable insight
• Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)
• Experience leading modeling projects or mentoring others
