Job summary

C3 AI, a leading Enterprise AI software company, seeks a Data Science professional to lead ML research, design, and deployment on the C3 AI Platform for enterprise customers. You will work with data scientists, software engineers and domain experts to implement scalable analytics and AI capabilities at scale.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in CS/EE/Statistics/Operations Research or related field.
• Applied AI experience including generative AI and agentic solutions.
• Strong mathematical background (linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics).
• Experience with scalable ML (MapReduce, streaming).
• Ability to drive a project and work independently and in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the research, design, implementation, and deployment of machine learning algorithms and intelligent agents for enterprise applications using the C3 AI Suite.
• Assist customers in building their own applications on the C3 AI Platform.
• Contribute to design and implementation of new features of the C3 AI Suite.
• Analyse model performance across asset fleets and adjust hyperparameters as needed.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers and customer teams to validate and use new data elements.

As a member of theC3 AI Data Scienceteam,you will work with some of the largest companies on the planet helping them build the next generation of AI-powered enterprise applications on the C3 AI Platform (c3.ai/customers/ ). You will work directly with data scientists, software engineers, and subject matter experts in the definition of new analytics capabilities able to provide our customers with the information they need to make proper decisions and enable their digital transformation. You will help find the appropriate machine learning / data mining algorithms to answer those questions and implement those on the C3 AI Platform so they can run at scale.

Qualified candidates will have an in-depth knowledge of most common machine learning techniques and their application. You will also understand the limitations of these algorithms and how to tweak them or derive from them to achieve similar results at large-scale. Some traveling is expected.

• Collaborating with data and subject matter experts from C3 AI and its customer teams to seek, understand, validate, interpret, and correctly use new data elements.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics,Operations Research, or a related field.
• Applied AI experience (generative AI, agentic solutions, regression and classification, supervised, and unsupervised learning).
• Strong mathematical background (linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics).
• Experience with scalable ML (MapReduce, streaming).
• Ability to drive a projectand workbothindependently and in a team.
• Smart, motivated, can do attitude, and seeks to make a difference.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• A portfolio of projects (GitHub, papers, etc.) is a plus.
