Data Scientist Role at Future

We’re seeking a curious and technically skilled Data Scientist to join our Data & BI team, reporting to the Data Science Manager. This role sits at the intersection of data, AI, and digital content, supporting strategic goals related to content discoverability, personalization, and commercial impact.

You will work on high-impact projects, such as exploring AI systems' interpretation of our content. Leveraging our SEO authority and AI partnerships, you will help boost referral traffic, grow licensing revenue, and strengthen our reputation in an AI-driven media landscape.

Additional responsibilities include developing analytics and data products for our customer data platform, powering personalization, recommendations, and insights.

This hands-on, exploratory role offers scope to build models, develop tools, and establish best practices, collaborating closely with editorial, commercial, engineering, and product teams.

As the field evolves rapidly, you will bring creativity and scientific rigor to help Future stay ahead in AI-powered media.

Preferred Experience

• Understanding of statistics
• Proficiency in Python for data science
• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP
• Experience deploying data science solutions (desirable)
• Knowledge of SQL and data storage systems
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices
• Ability to communicate technical ideas effectively

What We Offer

The role offers a salary range of £45,000 - £55,000, with a hybrid working model based in Bath or Cardiff (three days in-office, two remote).
