Frazer-Nash Consultancy is seeking a Data Science and Software Graduate Engineer to join our Digital stream. You’ll work across data governance, analytics, forecasting, and software design life cycles within multi-disciplinary teams across sectors including defence, energy and transport.

You will be supported with training, mentoring and opportunities to achieve professional accreditation, including chartership, while developing into a well-rounded consultant.

• 2:1 degree or higher (or equivalent/experience) with a related Engineering, Computer Science, Maths or Physical Sciences bias.
• Candidates will undergo pre-employment screening and UK National Security Vetting.
• Graduates will gain exposure to data science, software engineering and consultancy.

The role

This is a Data Science and Software Graduate Engineer role within our Digital stream at Frazer-Nash. As a graduate you could be joining one of our Data Science teams, which cover the full data life cycle from data governance, though analytics, forecasting to decision making or one of our Engineering Software teams, which cover the full software design life cycle from requirements and specification through design and implement to testing. Our teams deliver engineering solutions through system architecture, modelling, custom software and strategic advice across all our markets, including defence, energy, transport, government and others.

The role is looking for enthusiastic, open and curious minded people, who enjoy to problem solve. We are looking to create digital professionals who, like us, are committed to finding real-world solutions and delivering projects for our clients.

Those selected will receive training, mentoring and coaching to support their development into becoming well-rounded consultants and will be supported to achieve professional accreditations including chartership.

Our recruitment process:

Step 1: Application - CV submission

Step 2: Measure Potential - Arctic Shores’ task-based assessment. You will be asked to complete some exciting, engaging tasks which will enable us get to know you better! In return, you’ll receive a personalised feedback report.

Step 3: Video Interview - Situation based & technical questions that are related to the important criteria needed to be successful on the role.

Step 4: Explore day - This includes the opportunity to learn about what we do, network with current Graduates and find out about what a career at Frazer-Nash has to offer. You will be asked to complete an interview and presentation/task as part of the day.

Step 5: Decision/Feedback - You will receive feedback even if we do not make the decision to offer you the job or progress you to the next stage.

We’re looking for people who are:

• A creator: Our projects solve problems that customers have today, some of these turn into solutions that we can re-use as products. You will have the vision for how to re-use your work to solve bigger problems in the future. Given a blank sheet of paper we are looking for candidates who are able to create the new and the different.
• A collaborator: You will work in multi-disciplinary teams with other Frazer-Nash colleagues and our customers. You will be able to get along with others from different technical and social backgrounds and be part of a team which is more capable than the sum of its parts.

Often our clients aren’t aware of what outcomes best suit their requirements. You will have the ability to explore different options for our clients to ensure we deliver the best outcomes.

You will need to have obtained a 2:1 Degree or higher (or equivalent/experience) with a related Engineering, Computer Science, Maths or Physical Sciences bias.

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and will be required to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
