The Opportunity

As a Data Science Manager within EY's Tax Technology and Transformation Consulting team, you will lead a team of data scientists and AI engineers to develop machine learning and generative AI solutions that improve tax compliance and strategy.

Your hands-on experience will guide your team in exploring how emerging technologies can revolutionize tax functions, aligning with clients' business strategies and delivering measurable ROI. This is an opportunity to drive innovation in tax technology!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists in designing, developing, and implementing generative AI solutions for complex business problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of production Python applications for machine learning and AI.
• Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to extract insights from large datasets.
• Develop natural language processing (NLP) models to enhance user experience and automate processes.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for project management and CI/CD practices to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Manage version control using Git and promote best practices in coding and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in AI/ML development, with a track record as a hands-on data scientist delivering end-to-end projects and leading teams.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms, data science, and machine learning principles.
• Experience with rapid prototyping of data science solutions on large datasets.
• Building agentic workflows and autonomous agents using frameworks like Langchain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, and LangGraph.
• Developing and optimizing generative AI models, focusing on prompt engineering and large language models (LLMs).
• Proficiency in Python application development.
• Experience with version control (Git) and containerization (Docker).
• Knowledge of Databricks.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile ceremonies.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings with a focus on AI fairness, accountability, and transparency.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Azure cloud services.
• Experience with Snowflake.
