About the role

We are looking for a versatile Pricing manager to lead a team of data scientists and analysts to deliver business and customer value through cutting-edge techniques. The role involves identifying opportunities and collaborating across multiple business areas to achieve key goals. The successful candidate will manage a team of highly technical individuals and strategically deliver projects related to pricing optimisation, model performance evaluation, pricing indicators, and ad hoc analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of pricing strategies across various business areas.
  • Lead a team of data scientists and analysts to meet objectives in use cases such as pricing optimisation and analysis.
  • Influence the evolution of predictive modelling and machine learning techniques to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Collaborate within company-wide squads to ensure data-driven decision-making using predictive analytics.
  • Communicate data science insights effectively to influence stakeholders across the business.
  • Monitor performance, profitability, and competitor activities to support business targets.
  • Ensure recommendations promote fair treatment of customers.
  • Advocate for data-driven decision science internally and externally, establishing thought leadership.
Requirements
  • Excellent relationship management skills.

  • Deep statistical expertise, with the capacity to review and approve models for deployment.

  • Experience with AWS or Databricks to guide pipeline and model development, ensuring best practices.
  • Strong data wrangling and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of multiple domains and how to apply data science within them.
  • Knowledge of pricing, statistics, and key performance drivers in financial services.
  • Experience with customer-level strategic decision-making using data science techniques.
  • Proficiency in machine learning models.
  • Experience managing teams.
