Marks & Spencer Plc is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead a talented team and drive the design, development and deployment of ML/AI solutions that enhance our online Personalisation programme.

You will act as a strategic bridge between Data Science and Business & Commercial teams, delivering measurable business outcomes through innovative model-driven customer experiences and cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering and Data Engineering.

• Partner with product, engineering and commercial teams to embed solutions seamlessly into the customer experience and business processes
• Set the standard for agile Data Science delivery, testing and model monitoring, ensuring solutions are robust, reliable and impactful
• Drive innovation and act as a trusted advisor, helping transform how Data Science creates value for our customers and our business

Summary

M&S has ambitious goals around dramatically increasing the level of Personalisation throughout the online shopping experience, and Data Science is at the heart of that. The Data Science Manager will manage, lead and inspire a talented and experienced team of data scientists to design, develop, and deploy machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions which deliver our online Personalisation programme. This role serves as a strategic bridge between Data Science and our Business & Commercial teams, ensuring the effective application of advanced methodologies to achieve measurable and meaningful business outcomes. By fostering innovation, building and supporting a high-performing team, and driving collaboration across functions including Product, Engineering and Data Engineering, the Data Science Manager is key to the success of a major part of M&S’s future.
