We are looking for an inquisitive, ambitious, and dynamic individual to join our Data Science team as we continue to develop innovative ways to deliver insight, strategy, and consultancy to our clients. As a Data Science Manager, your skills and deep understanding of data science and analytics will be key in uncovering valuable insights that guide client decisions.

You'll bring a natural curiosity about how things work and a drive to explore new approaches, asking bold questions and experimenting with emerging techniques to find impactful solutions. Your foundation in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modelling will support you in leading smaller projects and contributing to larger, cross-functional initiatives. In addition to hands-on technical work, you'll begin to manage and mentor our talented data scientists, fostering a culture of experimentation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

You will also play a key role in driving innovation, helping shape our AI strategy and integrating the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and automation into our offerings. Whether it's building smarter models, uncovering hidden patterns, or applying AI to accelerate insights, your leadership will push the boundaries of what our data can reveal. Throughout, you'll continue growing your own expertise and helping others do the same, all while delivering meaningful value to our clients.

Your skills & experience

You will:

  • run a range of key standard market research methodologies and execute them with little supervision;
  • align client business problems into analytical solutions;
  • lead data science projects with your manager's supervision;
  • keep your finger on the pulse of emerging trends and innovations in market research analytics, and proactively identify ways to incorporate them into Yonder's tools, methods, and thinking;
  • explore and test innovative AI and machine learning approaches to enhance how we deliver insights and improve efficiency;
  • Continuously explore ways to improve processes and find efficiencies through custom scripts;
  • present results of data science solutions to internal and external clients;
  • contribute to evolving our analytics and AI capabilities by sharing ideas, tools, and techniques that help push the boundaries of traditional market research;
  • get involved in Yonder-wide initiatives and developments; and
  • build strong relationships with colleagues across the business to understand their clients, challenges, and identify where data science can add value or solve problems;
You must:

  • have at least 3-5 years' experience running statistical analysis on a range of data sources, especially survey data;
  • have excellent communication skills and can easily and clearly explain complex data science techniques and results to a range of non-technical stakeholders;
  • have experience leading in major projects and can easily and clearly explain complex analytical concepts to colleagues and clients in plain English;
  • consistently demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise and multi-task on a daily basis, whilst meeting deadlines;
  • take pride in and produce high-quality work, with attention to detail, and have the respect of your colleagues;
  • You're a team player and care about elevating and developing junior members of the team;
  • are interested in social attitudes and what makes people, consumers and businesses tick;
  • Technically, you are comfortable with supervised and unsupervised methods such as clustering and regression;
Technical must-haves:
  • You have experience in Conjoint analysis, either using the Sawtooth suite of programmes or otherwise;
  • You have experience running Segmentation projects using different clustering methods;
  • You are an expert with R and/or Python;
Nice-to-haves (we don't expect you to have experience in all of them all, or even most of them):
  • You have an interest in current affairs and politics;
  • You have experience or knowledge of standard survey analytics such as MaxDiff, TURF, Key Drivers Analysis;
  • You have experience or knowledge of Bayesian methods, machine learning methods, text analytics, AI applications;
