Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience in data science, machine learning, and business analytics.
• Practical experience in coding languages (Python, R, Scala, etc. with Python preferred).
• Strong proficiency in database technologies (SQL, ETL, No-SQL, DW) and Big Data (pySpark, Hive).
• Experience with structured and unstructured data (text, PDFs, images, recordings, video).
• Knowledge of ML modelling techniques and fine-tuning (XGBoost, DNNs, Transformers, etc.).
• Experience using ML libraries (FastAI, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, HuggingFace).
• Ability to read, understand and implement new ML techniques as they emerge.
• Experience using Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Specialised visualization techniques (D3.js, ggplot).
• Strong verbal/written communication & data presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and inspire teams of Data Scientists.
• Create bespoke machine learning solutions to model and solve business problems.
• Apply advanced ML methods (DL, quantitative analytics) to develop solutions.
• Understand business requirements and support business case development.
• Run discovery analytics to identify opportunities and impact.
• Collaborate with developers to deploy and scale models on real projects.
• Develop reusable assets, best practices and documented approaches.
• Lead analytical discussions and guide client analytical direction.
• Provide data science expertise to new sales activities.
