Job summary

WTW is offering an eight-week ICT internship in its Insurance Consulting and Technology team. You’ll apply data science techniques to pricing, claims and operations while gaining real-world experience at the heart of the ICT business.

You’ll deploy ML models, write high-quality code and use open-source tools alongside WTW’s proprietary insurance solutions. The programme includes structured early-career training and potential progression to the graduate programme.

Qualifications

• Highly numerate and analytical, with an interest in value from data
• Experienced in a coding or data-processing language such as Python, R, SQL or similar
• Genuinely interested in data science trends like ML and Generative AI
• Clear communicator who can explain ideas to varied audiences
• Personable and motivated to work in a supportive team
• Willing to learn and develop new ideas, including using AI tools
• Penultimate year of university and on track for a 2:1, with A-level Maths and UCAS points as described

Responsibilities

• Use data science techniques to analyse data and produce insightful results
• Present analyses internally and to clients
• Collaborate with UK and global colleagues
• Build core technical skills through hands-on experience and team support
• Deliver data science projects involving ML models and high-quality code
• Learn and apply open-source tools alongside proprietary insurance tech
