JOB ROLE SUMMARY:

The Sales Development Representative plays a key role in developing new business opportunities for Acxiom. They drive new business, presales prospecting, targeting, and activities related to developing qualified leads for the Data Sales team within our targeted verticals. This role supports the Sales Team by enhancing the pipeline with opportunities from qualified leads, ensuring all leads are contacted, qualified, or routed back into nurturing. Additionally, the role involves proactively building a pipeline of prospects, increasing awareness of Acxiom’s solutions, and cultivating relationships to be considered for new business opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate sales activities, including managing the sales pipeline.
  • Support the Sales Team by increasing the pipeline with opportunities from qualified leads.
  • Ensure all generated leads are contacted, qualified, appointments are made, routed internally, or nurtured.
  • Maintain and grow a pipeline of client and prospect contacts, increasing their knowledge of Acxiom and cultivating relationships for potential new business.
  • Develop and qualify prospective customers, including new market penetration, engaging with senior executives, webinar and event follow-up, and collaborating with sales for top prospects.
  • Create, update, and execute sales activity plans.

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong experience in lead generation, account development, or inside sales, preferably in digital, data, martech, or adtech markets.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Fluency in English; German skills are a plus but not essential.
  • Conscientious team player, well-organized, attentive to detail, with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to anticipate problems, recognize opportunities, and handle objections effectively.
  • Ability to build strong relationships within sales, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proactive, with a positive attitude and focus on tasks and commitments.
