Citi in Belfast is seeking a Data Risk and Governance Analyst to support the rollout of enterprise data governance standards, monitor compliance metrics, and translate policy into practical, everyday processes.

This role sits within Citi's data governance function and you will work closely with business and technology partners to keep data risk management consistent and effective across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
• Strong project management skills to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with tight deadlines and shifting requirements.
• Clear and confident communication with colleagues at different levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in daily work.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and analyze data-related issues, track ownership, target dates, and metrics.
• Provide inputs to monthly risk and controls materials with Technology and Business Enablement Risk and Controls teams.
• Serve as a point of contact on data risk topics with 2nd/3rd line of defense and coordinate with CDO teams.
• Provide regional expertise on data control framework design, effectiveness, and self-assessment processes.
• Support enterprise data governance strategy rollout, including taxonomy and KPI changes.
• Prepare timely metrics for stakeholders and regulators on progress and closing actions.
• Contribute recommendations shaping enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures.

Job description

Shape how Citi manages data risk and governance at scale, working on initiatives that strengthen the controls behind one of the world's most complex financial institutions. As a Data Risk and Governance Analyst, you will support the rollout of enterprise data governance standards, monitor compliance metrics, and help teams translate policy into practical, everyday processes. This role sits within Citi's data governance function in Belfast, where you will work closely with business and technology partners to keep data risk management consistent and effective across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities for the oversight and analysis of data-related issues, tracking of ownership and target dates and associated metrics / reporting
• Provide key inputs to the In Business Risk and Controls monthly meeting materials, in coordination with the Technology and Business Enablement Risk and Controls team
• Point of contact on B&I Data risk and controls topics with 2nd/3rd line of defense teams and coordination with other regional CDO teams to ensure consistent treatment of findings and corrective actions plans
• Provide regional expertise on data control framework including design, effectiveness, performance monitoring and self-assessment processes
• Support and coordinate with business lines and global functions on enterprise data governance strategy roll out, including new data risk taxonomy and associated changes to key risk indicators and control framework
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of metrics to ensure communication to key stakeholders including International legal entities governance forums, Transformation councils and local regulators on the progress/challenges/risks to addressing findings and closing corrective action plans on time
• Contribute recommendations that shape enterprise-wide data governance policies, standards, and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• You have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
