Job overview

An exciting new opportunity is available to join the Data Quality & Standards team as the Data Quality & Standards Manager (Secondment).

The role will support and provide line management to the Data Quality & Standards Team and DQ leads across the Trust to deliver continued improvement in the quality of data and information systems by identifying Data Quality issues and developing solutions with users, asset owners, administrators, and system providers.

This will include the use of the front-end Information Systems by operational staff, technical improvements, and enhancements to data processing to support timely and accurate data delivery to the Trust’s Data Warehouse.

This role requires attention to detail, an aptitude for identifying errors in reporting data, and the ability to focus on complex tasks for extended periods.

This position is suitable for individuals with experience in Trust roles, the NHS, and familiarity with Trust information software and analytical/data skills.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the DQ&S team are to:

  • Identify potential Data Quality issues in key Trust information systems, Data Warehouse, and Data Lake.
  • Extract, collate, and interpret information from multiple Trust systems.
  • Manage the Trust’s Data Quality reporting solution, IntoZetta.
  • Create SQL queries for monitoring and cleansing activities.
  • Work with Asset Owners to resolve Data Quality issues affecting reporting.
  • Collaborate with Operational teams to improve data input processes.
  • Create reports using Excel and Power BI.
  • Develop detailed assurance reports for governance escalation.
