Job overview

An exciting new opportunity is available to join the Data Quality & Standards team as the Data Quality & Standards Manager (Secondment).

The role will support and provide line management to the Data Quality & Standards Team and DQ leads across the Trust to deliver continued improvement in the quality of data and information systems by identifying Data Quality issues and developing solutions with users, asset owners, administrators, and system providers.

This includes the use of front-end Information Systems by operational staff, technical system improvements, data processing enhancements, and supporting the delivery of complete, timely, and accurate data in the Trust’s Data Warehouse.

This role requires attention to detail, an aptitude for identifying errors in reporting data, and the ability to focus on complex tasks for extended periods.

The ideal candidate will have experience in relevant Trust roles and the NHS, familiarity with Trust information software, and strong analytical/data skills.

Main duties of the job
  • Identify potential Data Quality issues in key Trust information systems, Data Warehouse, and Data Lake.
  • Extract, collate, and interpret information from multiple Trust systems.
  • Manage the Trust’s Data Quality reporting solution, IntoZetta.
  • Create SQL queries for monitoring and cleansing activities within the Data Quality tool.
  • Collaborate with Asset Owners to resolve Data Quality issues affecting Trust reporting.
  • Work with operational teams to refine processes and reduce input errors.
  • Create reports on DQ issues using Excel and Power BI.
  • Prepare detailed assurance reports for escalation through governance processes.
