Job summary

Bupa Dental Care is seeking a Data Quality Engineer to strengthen data governance by building automated data quality pipelines and monitoring in Snowflake. You’ll work in the Data Governance team to translate governance needs into scalable technical solutions.

You will collaborate with Data, Architecture and Engineering, implement quality checks, lineage, access controls, and contribute to improving data reliability and performance across the organisation. Hybrid role based in London or Bristol.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with data quality, governance or data management exposure.
• Strong Snowflake hands-on experience, including SQL optimisation and data pipeline development.
• Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines with dbt, Airflow or similar tools.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or another data engineering language.
• Experience implementing automated data quality checks, monitoring and validation frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices (Git, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Ability to translate governance requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Strong communication to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data quality pipelines and controls in Snowflake.
• Develop automated monitoring, validation and alerting frameworks.
• Support data lineage, metadata management and governance tooling.
• Implement governance controls around data access, classification and retention.
• Work closely with Data Governance, Architecture and Engineering teams.
• Drive continuous improvements to data quality, reliability and performance.
