A community housing organization in Manchester is seeking a Data Quality Developer on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of data validation rules, develop reports, and support efforts to improve data management across the organization. Ideal applicants will have strong skills in SQL and experience with Power BI. A commitment to improving data quality is essential.

Qualifications

Are you passionate about data and ready to help drive improvements in data quality and insight? We’re looking for a skilled Data Quality Developer to join Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects and improve how we manage and use data across the organisation.

About the Role

As a Data Quality Developer, you’ll lead on designing and implementing data validation rules and technical controls, supporting the delivery of our Data Quality Framework. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to identify data quality issues, improve reporting accuracy, and embed best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement validation rules and controls across key systems
  • Develop reports and dashboards to monitor and improve data quality (e.g. Power BI)
  • Carry out root cause analysis to identify and fix recurring data issues
  • Support wider business transformation by improving data quality at the source
  • Collaborate with Developers, Analysts, and stakeholders to embed sustainable improvements
  • Deliver recommendations for improving data collection, accuracy, and reporting

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience using SQL for data validation and manipulation
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools for reporting and dashboarding
  • Understanding of data quality principles and data management frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and trends
  • Experience working with housing or CRM systems such as Salesforce or Orchard
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in a data-related field
  • Salesforce certification (desirable but not essential)

Please note this role is a fixed term contract with aduration of 6 months
