An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for the role of Data Quality Co-ordinator, working within the Haematology Directorate.

The successful post holder will be responsible for all areas of Data Quality, contributing to maintaining data quality by generating data reports, in line with Trust reporting requirements, to identify any trends/problems and agree with relevant managers action plans to validate all required reports within set reporting timescales.

The Clinical Haematology department caters for patients with diseases of the blood, both malignant and non-malignant, and provides comprehensive diagnostic services and continuing management to patients.

The post holder will support team leaders and members of the management team by undertaking data validation checks and corrections where necessary, but where appropriate they will empower admin teams to validate their own error reports and to give knowledge of the appropriate fixes to correct the errors going forward.

Role

The post holder will also take an important role in training staff across the directorate to ensure that activity is accurately recorded, and errors are minimised. This will be achieved through:

Identifying and documenting key data quality errors affecting each area of Haematology - Ensuring that any data entry errors are escalated as appropriate. Providing support to areas where errors occur and resolving any data quality issues. Contributing to the development of local training documentation i.e. induction packs

You will be working for an organisation which values and respects all its staff and the community it serves. The Trust is a leader in the NHS and research sectors and provides excellent benefits for its staff. This includes commitments to professional development but also many policies to support employees in balancing their personal and professional lives.
