Job summary

HC-One is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer with GDPR implementation expertise for a nationwide organization. The role focuses on fulfilling DPO legal requirements, informing staff of obligations, monitoring GDPR compliance and advising on data protection impact assessments.

You will lead information assurance initiatives, train leadership and staff, and serve as the primary contact for the ICO and data subjects across HC-One's 280+ care homes in the UK.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification covering information assurance and data protection law.
• Expertise in national and European data protection laws including GDPR.
• Experience leading senior teams to ensure compliance decisions.

Responsibilities

• Educate leadership and staff on GDPR and data protection obligations.
• Monitor and report on compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
• Advise on data protection impact assessments and internal audits.
• Lead training and awareness on information assurance across the organisation.
• Be the primary contact for ICO and data subjects.
