Overview

Data Protection Officer – The Labour Party UK, Newcastle Upon Tyne, London, NE1 6PA.

Location: Labour Party Head Office, Newcastle or London. We are open to discussing reduced hours, flexible start and finish times, and remote working.

Salary: £58,084.17 (gross) per annum plus a fixed sum allowance of £1,153. Additional London Weighting applies.

Duration: Permanent

Responsibilities

The post-holder will act as the Labour Party's statutory Data Protection Officer (DPO), overseeing and managing the Party's data protection compliance framework and ensuring all personal data processing activities meet the highest standards of compliance.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Deep understanding of data protection principles and lawful bases for processing
  • Understanding of data security and breach notification procedures
  • Proven experience of dealing with data protection issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
