We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Protection Officer to join our team. This is a new role designed to advance our data and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring The Pioneer Group complies with all relevant data privacy laws and requirements.
- Creating and overseeing the company's data protection frameworks and controls.
- Developing a culture that values data governance and compliance.
- Acting as the primary contact for internal colleagues, customers, and external regulators.
- Developing and delivering training on data protection.
- Processing Subject Access Requests efficiently, adhering to deadlines.
- Advising colleagues on obligations under UK GDPR and other data laws.
- Supporting colleagues with key documentation such as Data Processing/Sharing Agreements, DPIAs, and Impact Assessments.
About you
We seek a data protection professional with accreditation in data protection and risk management, with prior experience in data protection roles. You should be confident working independently, with in-depth GDPR knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
