What the job looks like:

  1. Support the Lead Consultant and/or Consultants in completing client work;
  2. Work well under instructions and within agreed timelines;
  3. Conduct research, interpret legislation, regulations, and guidance, and provide summaries to fee earners;
  4. Study, attend classes, and take exams to develop your knowledge;
  5. Empower clients to develop solutions and support their adoption of new technologies;
  6. Bring technical expertise to clients to help them develop and maintain competitive solutions;
  7. Enhance your consulting skills to a professional level, working with prestigious clients;
  8. Provide relevant and up-to-date advice on information security matters;
  9. Offer guidance and advice on data protection and information security;
  10. Support in delivering training and communication to stakeholders;
  11. Assist with issue management, data protection matters, and handling complaints;
  12. Maintain compliance with applicable data protection regulations (e.g., Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, GDPR, FOI Act, etc.);
  13. Lead data protection initiatives and conduct DPIAs;
  14. Manage data breaches and conduct training as needed;
  15. Review and negotiate contracts related to data protection;
  16. Monitor third-party governance risks and compliance.
