Job summary

Taylor Root is partnering with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a Data Protection Analyst. The role focuses on supporting Compliance and Privacy functions within a regulated environment, with opportunities to broaden exposure in data protection and governance.

You will handle DSARs, data maps, DPIAs, and regulatory reporting, while working in a hybrid setup with three days in the office. Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience within Compliance or Data Protection.
• Understanding of UK financial services regulation and/or UK GDPR.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical, pragmatic, and able to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance monitoring, governance, and regulatory reporting activities.
• Manage and coordinate DSARs and other data subject rights requests.
• Maintain data protection records, data maps, and processing inventories.
• Assist with DPIAs, privacy reviews, and breach investigations.
• Support regulatory horizon scanning and policy governance.
• Prepare management information, committee papers, and compliance reporting.
• Maintain compliance registers, trackers, and documentation.
• Coordinate evidence gathering for audits, reviews, and regulatory requests.
