Job summary

Birketts LLP in the UK is seeking an Associate for the Commercial (Data Protection) Team with 3–5 years PQE. You will advise on UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and related privacy laws, helping clients implement policies and respond to incidents while working in a fast-paced corporate setting.

The role includes drafting, negotiating data agreements, and delivering DPIAs, audits, and training, with hybrid working and strong career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years PQE in commercial/data protection law.
• Experience advising on UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 preferable.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and advisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on UK/EU data protection regulations across various industries.
• Develop data protection policies and risk frameworks aligned with GDPR.
• Review data processing agreements and vendor contracts.
