Job summary

Frasers Group is seeking a proactive Data Protection Assistant to support our group’s data protection and privacy activities across multiple brands. You will work with the Data Protection Manager to ensure compliant handling of personal data and assist with day-to-day privacy operations.

You will gain exposure across business areas, handling documentation, training and stakeholder requests while contributing to ongoing governance and risk management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in admin, compliance, governance or support roles.
• Understanding of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience in regulated environments (finance/insurance/healthcare/retail).
• Interest in privacy, information security or data governance.

Responsibilities

• Support administration and maintenance of the data protection framework.
• Assist with data subject rights requests (access, deletion, correction).
• Maintain data protection records and processing activity logs.
• Help document and investigate data protection incidents and breaches.
• Assist with supplier due diligence and privacy reviews.
• Monitor privacy inquiries and respond to routine requests.
• Support privacy reviews for new projects and systems.
• Prepare guidance and awareness materials for employees.
• Organise policies, procedures and governance docs.
• Track regulatory updates and assist improvement initiatives.
• Provide general admin support to the Data Protection team.

The Role

We'relooking for a proactive and organisedData Protection Assistantto support the Group's data protection and privacy activities across our fast-paced, multi-brand business.

Working closely with the Data Protection Manager and wider team,you'llhelp ensure personal data is handled responsibly and in line with regulatory requirements. This isa great opportunityfor someone looking to build a career in data protection, compliance,governanceor risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the administration and maintenance of the Group's data protection framework

Qualifications

• Previousexperience in an administrative, compliance,governanceor support role
• Understanding of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel,Wordand Outlook
• Eagerness to learn and develop knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Exposure to data protection, compliance, governance,riskor legal administration activities
• Experience working within a regulated environment such as financial services, insurance,healthcareor retail
• Relevant qualifications or studies in law, business,complianceor information governance
• Interest in privacy, technology,informationsecurityor data governance
