Job Description:

TikTok is seeking a highly adaptable and motivated Program Manager for our Data Protection and Sovereignty team spanning numerous cybersecurity disciplines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the privacy and security of our regional data by collaborating with third-party security providers, while leveraging the efficiencies offered by our internal security functions. You will collaborate closely with teams including Security, Privacy, and Engineering to ensure the operational sustainability of our data security measures. Regular engagement with third-party security providers will be essential to demonstrate transparency and achieve external assurance. This role reports to the Data Sovereignty Lead within GSO's Data Protection team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical strategy and management for Data Sovereignty programs regionally, including cross-functional security projects across multiple organizations and external providers, to meet organizational standards, third-party assurance objectives, and regional regulations.
  2. Deliver operational security services and solutions such as Program Management, Vendor Management, Secure Code Review, Security Monitoring, Network Monitoring, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, among others.
  3. Create executive leadership communications and reports to update on the organization's regional security posture, risks, issues, and external implications.
  4. Manage stakeholders and work streams across disciplines and regions, presenting complex security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Lead project planning and tracking, creating project plans, defining delivery methodologies, and ensuring timely updates on project status.
  6. Assemble and enable cross-functional teams with the necessary skills for successful project execution, including subject matter experts, project sponsors, and operational resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience managing technical cybersecurity programs from inception to delivery at scale.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity managed services, secure code review, vulnerability management, access management, network monitoring, incident response, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience engaging with third parties or external stakeholders, managing contractor relationships or support services.
  • Ability to operate independently and lead across multiple teams and time zones.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or privacy program management.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP.
  • Understanding of privacy risk, data protection, and related fields, with a proven record of executing privacy programs.
  • Knowledge of global data protection laws including GDPR and CCPA.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in ambiguous, dynamic environments.
