Our client based in Birmingham is seeking a Data Protection Analyst to join their team. This newly created role suits someone passionate about Legal Data Protection regulations and compliance.

Reporting to the Information Governance Manager, you will support data protection compliance activities and gain exposure to a wide range of matters in a collaborative environment. Strong communication skills are essential due to extensive stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, legal or data-centric roles.
• Desirable Law/Business degree.

Responsibilities

• Data Protection Compliance.
• Processing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in line with UK data protection laws.
• Assisting with reviewing and responding to data protection–related complaints.
• Drafting and reviewing basic data protection policies and procedures under supervision.
• Supporting with audits internally to ensure ISO compliance and Cyber support.
• Assisting with the implementation of Data Retention Policies.
• Monitoring updates to UK data protection regulation, ICO guidance and enforcement activity.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date team documentation.

Our client based in Birmingham are a progressive, fast growing Tech firm with an opportunity for a Data Protection Analyst to join their team. This is a newly created role ideal for anyone with a passion for Legal Data Protection regulations and compliance.

This is an ideal role for a Paralegal or Legal Compliance candidate who does not wish to qualify into private practice or alternatively a candidate who has had exposure in this area and is keen to progress their career in this area
