Data Project Manager / Product Owner | Data Leadership | Contract (Outside IR35)

Our client, a London Market Insurance firm, is looking for a strategic and delivery-oriented Data Project Manager / Product Owner to spearhead the implementation of high-impact data initiatives and support transformation across a dynamic data environment.

In this position, you’ll hold a key role within the data function, collaborating with senior business leaders, delivery teams, and external partners to drive major projects across data platforms, analytics, automation, and systems integration.

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

Responsibilities

• A strong track record as a Data Project Manager within complex, data-centric environments, with experience owning data product lifecycles
• Solid knowledge of data solutions such as reporting tools, dashboards, analytics workflows, and SQL-based datasets
• Practical experience embedding delivery governance and Agile methodologies within a data-focused team
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills — confident representing the data function and translating technical outputs into business value
• A proactive, delivery-led approach with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and ongoing enhancements concurrently
