Job summary

Vallum Associates is seeking a senior data product professional in the UK to lead data foundations for Operational Resilience. You will own the roadmap for data products, translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements, and drive end-to-end delivery across multiple teams.

You will define data models, governance, and metadata, publish to the Data Fabric, and ensure quality and adoption through Agile practices and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Operational Resilience concepts and related data domains.
• Demonstrable experience in a data-related role with ownership of outcomes.
• Ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear product requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Agile practices and backlog management.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of data foundations for Operational Resilience with a governed data layer.
• Own the roadmap and backlog for data products aligned to business outcomes.
• Translate stakeholder needs into product requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Drive end-to-end data product lifecycle and ensure reusable, scalable solutions.
• Define data models, data contracts, metadata, and governance in line with HSBC standards.
• Publish Data Products to the Data Fabric with documentation and SLAs.
• Prioritise delivery using Agile practices and manage cross-team dependencies.
• Oversee data quality assessment and continuous improvement.
• Foster adoption and stakeholder engagement across MI/reporting teams.
