The Role

To achieve our ambitions, we’re hiring a Data Product Owner to support and drive our client focus.

This is an excellent opportunity for a product owner with a background in data and analytics to make their mark within an established team of consultants, with opportunities to develop a strong career path within an ambitious consultancy serving a varied and dynamic client base.

Our team loves using data to solve problems! You’ll bring 5+ years of experience in product design across data roles such as engineering, analytics, or data visualization, promoting a product-led approach to our deliveries, innovation, and client satisfaction.

The data product owner works alongside a delivery lead and a technical solution lead to ensure solutions align with the client’s strategy and vision. You will be the key link between business stakeholders and the development team, translating needs into user stories and managing a product backlog.

You will

1. Aid and collaborate with clients to develop and articulate clear, compelling visions.
2. Manage roadmaps for clients and projects, aligned with business objectives, focusing on quality of delivery.
3. Work closely with clients to understand their needs, gather requirements, and prioritize accordingly.
4. Develop and maintain a product roadmap based on strategic direction.
5. Triangulate requirements, business problems, and technical complexities, working with stakeholders to realize solutions.
6. Use a data-led approach to measure team velocity, efficiency, and progress.
7. Strategize opportunities for clients by discovering, investigating, and analyzing their data.
8. Apply a product mindset to data solutions, focusing on user needs and value delivery.

• Strong understanding of business needs and advocating for data-driven solutions.
• Experience managing digital or data initiatives through the full product lifecycle.
• Familiarity with data practices including architecture, engineering, analytics, modeling, visualization, and governance, with the technical depth to challenge solutions.
• Hands-on SQL experience for basic analysis and investigations.
• Experience with product management tools such as backlog management, road mapping, and prototyping.
• Passion for data; knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modeling is a plus.

• Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
