As a Data Product Owner at Asda, you'll have the opportunity to translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications, ensuring that our data solutions are perfectly aligned with stakeholder expectations. You'll be at the forefront of our data-driven initiatives, managing requirements, and spearheading the analysis of current and future states to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead the requirements management process, from elicitation to documentation and validation, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth data collection and analysis to inform key decisions and highlight trends.
  • Play a pivotal role in project and program management, maintaining a keen eye on both the "As Is" and "To Be" states of our data capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by contributing to solutions that enhance creativity and collaboration.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and backups, ensuring data integrity and recovery.
  • Engage in personal capability building, staying abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements.

  • You possess strong data collection and analysis skills, with a proven track record of guiding decision-making.

  • Action planning is second nature to you; you develop and execute plans with precision.
  • You have experience in requirements elicitation and facilitation, adept at leading sessions and user acceptance testing.
  • An adaptive mindset is part of your DNA; you thrive in changing environments and are quick to adjust your strategies.
  • You have a foundation degree, undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • You bring a wealth of experience as a practitioner, capable of working unsupervised.
