Job summary

ASA International Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a Public Sector organisation in Edinburgh for a Data Protection Support Officer. The role is hybrid and initially for 23 months, offering circa £156.29 per day outside IR35 based on experience.

The successful candidate will support the Assistant Data Protection Officer, work with various teams, and handle data protection duties including SARs, data mapping, policy development, and training support, with a focus on safeguarding sensitive

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the ADPO with DP trackers, workflows and data mapping procedures.
• Assist with SARs and Erasure requests, ensuring statutory timelines are met.
• Manage the DP mailbox and assist with email security guidance.
• Contribute to data protection policies, procedures and awareness training.
• Support transfer of records and other ad hoc duties as required.
