Job description

What will I be doing?

As our Data Privacy Manager, you will be the main contact for privacy compliance supporting GWI’s consumer research across over 50 countries, sold through various technology-enabled products. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape privacy practices globally while staying at the forefront of innovation.

You will drive the implementation of privacy processes, mitigate data breach risks, and foster a culture of accountability and transparency within the legal team.

The role requires flexibility, adaptability to change, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment as GWI continues to grow.

What do I need to bring?

You should demonstrate core skills relevant to this role. You don’t need to meet every requirement immediately; a willingness to learn is key. The team will be looking for:

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including UK GDPR and GDPR, with practical experience in their implementation.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders and deliver training with passion.
  • A problem-solving mindset to analyze legal scenarios, anticipate risks, and develop practical solutions.
  • Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E or CIPP/US from IAPP are highly desirable.
  • An attitude aligned with our values: thinking big, asking why, and showing respect at all levels.
Interview process

The process includes:

  • Preliminary phone call with the Talent Team (no video required)
  • First video interview with hiring managers
  • Final video interview with the panel, often including a presentation, followed by a values discussion with the wider GWI community

Additional stages may occur depending on the role.
