Job summary

KLDiscovery, Inc. is seeking a Data Privacy Manager to lead and coordinate the company’s privacy program. You will ensure compliance with GDPR, UK GDPR, HIPAA, and applicable US privacy laws while advising on risk, DPIAs and data subject rights.

You will act as the privacy expert for cross-functional teams, develop policies, and liaison with regulators. This remote role offers a competitive package and global scope.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a dedicated privacy role in an international business, preferably SaaS.
• Degree in law, information security, IT, compliance, or a related field.
• Professional certification in data protection or privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, GDPR Practitioner).
• Expert knowledge of GDPR, UK Data Protection Act 2018, US state privacy laws, HIPAA; AI Act or AI governance certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance against global data protection laws and internal policies for clients and employees.
• Coordinate DPIAs, TIAs, LIAs and advise on mitigating risks for product and internal initiatives.
• Maintain Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) and develop privacy policies and notices.
• Serve as primary contact for data subjects and regulators; manage SARs and data deletion within statutory timeframes.
• Support AI governance and EU AI Act readiness; advise on privacy risk and controls for AI-driven processing.
