Data Privacy Lead - Maternity Cover, London

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) for a Data Privacy Lead role based in London, UK, at Janus Henderson. The position requires an EU work permit.

Your Opportunity

The Data Privacy Lead will oversee data privacy governance and compliance under GDPR and other relevant laws. Responsibilities include advising on compliance, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments, managing privacy incidents, and collaborating with various teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on UK Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; knowledge of APAC laws is a plus.
• Manage Data Privacy operational team and liaise with marketing, HR, legal, and security teams.
• Review and analyze new laws/regulations, conduct DPIAs, and oversee data processing records.
• Manage vendor assessments, contract reviews, and high-risk escalations.
• Implement and monitor privacy controls, conduct training, and handle data subject requests.
• Investigate privacy incidents and support regulatory audits.
