Job description

An elite US law firm in London is looking to hire a junior associate (NQ–1PQE) into its top-tier Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity practice.

This is a rare opportunity to join a practice consistently ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK, known for advising leading global corporates, tech companies, investment firms, and financial institutions on the full life cycle of data privacy, cybersecurity and regulatory risk.

The team regularly handles matters involving UK GDPR, EU GDPR, the UK Data Protection Act, cross-border data transfers, breach response, and privacy-related litigation and enforcement. The successful candidate will also work closely with colleagues across the US and Europe on multi-jurisdictional matters with strategic regulatory significance.

Key areas of focus:

  • Advising on global data privacy and cybersecurity compliance frameworks
  • Preparing and responding to cyber incidents and regulatory investigations
  • Supporting major transactions with privacy and cybersecurity due diligence
  • Assisting on contracts, data commercialisation, and vendor arrangements
  • Involvement in privacy-related litigation, enforcement, and internal investigations

Candidate requirements:

  • NQ–1PQE solicitor qualified (or soon to qualify) in England & Wales
  • Experience or strong interest in data protection, privacy, cybersecurity or tech law
  • Previous experience in private practice or in-house is welcomed
  • Excellent academics and a proactive, commercial mindset
