Job summary

Dune is seeking a software engineer focused on data to scale our blockchain data platform. You will design and implement large-scale distributed systems, ingest petabytes of data, and enable efficient SQL queries across datasets.

Expect to work with Kotlin and Go, with Java and Rust as needed, contributing to architecture decisions and developer tooling. Join a fast-moving team embracing AI-assisted operations and impactful challenges.

Qualifications

• Coding experience in any JVM language and a zeal for well-designed, testable software.
• Understanding of blockchain technology and RPC interactions.
• Experience with datalakes and formats like Parquet, Delta, Iceberg.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; team work drives output.
• Good grasp of distributed system design and the ability to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop distributed systems and services for the data platform.
• Own components such as data ingestion and decoding in the blockchain data platform.
• Write clean, high-performance code in Kotlin and Go; some Java and Rust as needed.
• Improve developer experience with tests and deployment processes.
• Automate incident diagnosis and resolution using AI and tooling.
