Job summary

M&G seeks a Data Platform Solution Architect to translate business outcomes into scalable data designs for reporting, MI, analytics and operations. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, Security and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery aligned with enterprise standards.

The role focuses on shape of design options, target-state patterns and design assurance, across ingestion, storage, semantic layers and integration, embedding governance and ensuring resilient,

Qualifications

• Strong data platform design experience with lakehouse and warehouse patterns.
• Deep knowledge of cloud data services and big-data technologies.
• Proven data modelling across conceptual to physical designs.
• Experience embedding governance, lineage, metadata and access controls.
• Excellent communication and delivery-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Produce end-to-end solution designs across ingestion, transformation, storage and consumption.
• Define data product definitions with scope, SLAs and acceptance criteria.
• Embed governance and privacy controls into designs from inception.
• Provide design assurance through walkthroughs and reviews.
• Develop reference architectures, templates and design documentation.
• Define integration approaches across APIs, events and file interfaces.
• Support governance forums with architecture reviews and release governance.
• Align designs with enterprise strategy and roadmaps.
• Coach engineers on best practices and stakeholder communication.
