Job Description:

About the Role

As a Data Platform Architect, you’ll have the chance to transform how our clients access and process data, help drive their data maturity, and enable them with data-driven decision making.

We’re looking for a hands-on practitioner to take ownership of our AWS-focused Enterprise Data Platforms offering and shape this to future market needs.

You will be comfortable defining and building AWS infrastructure, discussing data warehouses, lakes, lake houses, and mesh architectures with client stakeholders and internal teams. You will often be the key subject matter expert on proposals and bids.

Expect to work with clients about 70% of the time, with 30% for developing this capability, contributing to presales, and curating accelerators. There will also be opportunities to blog, speak at events, and engage with the data community.

About You

This is a senior role within our Data Professional Services team, offering great freedom to mature and evolve our data platform accelerators. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, provided you:

  • Work in an AWS environment
  • Are comfortable with Infrastructure as Code
  • Automate repetitive tasks and workloads
  • Are excited about working with and evangelising data solutions
  • Enjoy keeping up to date with technology
  • Drive high-quality solutions

Feel free to discuss how you would make this role your own. We look forward to your application!

Some of the Perks

  • Flexible benefits allowance – choose how to spend (additional pension contributions, healthcare, dental, etc.)
  • Industry-leading health and wellbeing plan, including 24/7 GP services, mental health support, and more
  • Life Assurance (4 x annual salary)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid working – split time between office, client site, and WFH
  • Discounts from various retail, lifestyle, and utility brands
  • Referral scheme with unlimited referrals
  • Flexible holiday buy/sell options
  • Electric vehicle scheme
  • Training and certifications support, including unlimited access to O’Reilly
  • Opportunities to get involved in diversity initiatives and community outreach
  • Part of a supportive team across the business
  • Engaging social events and activities
