About Us:

Carbon Underwriting offers a new approach to the market. We are a specialist, independent, class-agnostic Managing General Underwriter (MGU) writing to third-party capacity and our own Syndicate CBN 4747.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and process received bordereaux.

  3. Problem-solve and liaise with brokers, coverholders, and TPAs.
  4. Maintain effective communication at all times.
  5. Adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  6. Demonstrate high standards in written, verbal, and numerical skills.

Required Experience:

  1. Managing and processing bordereaux.
  2. Managing collection processes and escalation procedures.
  3. Problem-solving and liaising with brokers, coverholders, and TPAs.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. Delegated authority experience.
  6. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  7. Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in Lloyd’s and MGA environments.
  2. Progression towards Lloyd’s professional studies.
  3. Experience with Agile methodology.
  4. Interest in technology.
  5. Minimum 1 year experience in the London Insurance Market.

We value skills such as:

  • Extensive experience reviewing risk, claim, or premium bordereaux.
  • Excel data manipulation.
  • Handling Lloyd’s Binding Authorities.
  • Dealing with risk reports.
  • Liaising with underwriters and clients.
