We are looking for aData Office Domain Leadwho is astrong communicator and strategicto joinour Data Office team, based in ourUK office in Slough.

About the role
In this role, you will drive the adoption and execution of our global data strategy across key functional areas. You’ll ensure data is structured, governed, and used effectively in line with company-wide priorities. You will act as a bridge between technical and business teams, making sure data becomes a key enabler of innovation, smarter decisions, and long-term impact across the organization.

Who you’ll work with
You will be working in a team that collaborates closely with global leaders across business functions, data specialists, and technology partners. The Data Office team operates at the heart of our digital transformation journey, delivering strategic data solutions and contributing to a growing data-driven culture.

What you’ll do

  • Work within a domain to assess the data foundation
  • Develop a data management plan that ensures the data has all aspects of UCBs data lifecycle policy in place.
  • Identify key data enablement opportunities with domain stakeholders
  • Ensure data governance and reuse in all data and digital projects
  • Collaborate with technology teams to shape fit-for-purpose data infrastructure
  • Drive domain-level data sharing, structuring, and cataloging best practices
  • Lead transversal data initiatives across teams and projects
  • Support Data Office planning, communications, and leadership engagements
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation in data usage

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Master's degree in a scientific, engineering, or technical field
  • 5+ years in data engineering, software development, or digital project delivery
  • Proven track record of implementing data strategies in large organizations
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy, and quality standards
  • Effective communicator able to mediate between business and technical teams
  • Comfortable navigating a global, matrixed organizational structure
  • Curious, collaborative, and driven to simplify and automate where possible
  • Skilled at identifying and solving complex cross-functional data challenges
