Job description

We are looking for a Data Modeller to join the Frontier team, on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fully homebased role but there will be a requirement to attend sites when needed.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the data models, understanding and communicating the data relationships to our data engineers and the wider development teams. Working with other Modellers, Developers, Product Managers, and Delivery Leads in Scrum teams, you will build efficient programs and systems that serve Customer needs.

About You
  • Strong understanding of SQL and data modelling concepts
  • Proficiency in data modelling tools such as Erwin, Vertabelo, or PowerDesigner
  • Experience in designing and implementing database structures
  • Ability to create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes in Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for data modelling and database design
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data requirements
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of database queries
  • Experience in Scrum/Agile teams
Your Role

As a Data Modeller your role will involve:
  • Active participation in all Agile ceremonies
  • Develop and maintain complex data models for business data analysis and reporting purposes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate data models that align with business needs
  • Contribute to and Maintain the Data Governance model
  • Evaluate and recommend data modelling tools and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy of data modelling processes
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories to ensure consistency and integrity of data models
  • Identify and resolve data model performance issues to optimize database performance and enhance overall system functionality
  • Document and communicate data model designs and standards to ensure understanding and compliance across the organization
  • Stay current with industry best practices and trends in data modelling and incorporate new techniques and methodologies into our data modelling processes
