Job Title: Data Modeller
Location: Sheffield/Manchester/Birmingham/Leeds - 3 days per week in the office
Salary/Rate: Up to £400 per day INSIDE IR35
Start Date: 07/07/2025

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading financial services clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Data Modeller to join their team for a contract until the end of November.

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Data Modeler to join our Strategy & Planning team. As a Data Modeler, you will play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven strategies by building robust models, dashboards, and analytical frameworks that inform executive-level decisions. You'll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across finance, risk, and technology, translating complex data into actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

  1. Develop and maintain advanced data models to support strategic planning, risk analysis, and financial forecasting.
  2. Design and implement dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI, Power Query, and Excel VBA.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
  4. Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, including C-suite executives.
  5. Support strategic projects with data-driven insights, scenario modeling, and performance tracking.
  6. Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and reporting platforms.
  7. Contribute to the development of data governance and best practices.

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

  1. Experience in consulting, banking, corporate strategy, or a similar analytical role.
  2. Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  3. Experience in finance or risk analytics is a plus.
  4. Advanced Excel (including VBA)
  5. Power BI and Power Query
  6. SQL for data extraction and manipulation
  7. Python (preferred but not required)
