Job summary

FalconSmartIT is seeking a Data Migration Specialist to join a complex S/4 HANA transformation program in Denmark. You will own end-to-end data migration from legacy systems to SAP applications, including strategy definition, tooling selection, testing, and final cutover.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in SAP consulting and delivery.
• Experience leading 2–3 data migration engagements for complex transformations.
• Proficiency with ETL concepts.

Responsibilities

• Create a Data Migration Plan aligned with the overall project plan and milestones.
• Engage and advise clients on data extraction, cleansing, and data transformation.
• Coordinate with the project team to complete migration milestones (tool testing, templates, mapping rules).
• Execute team plans and report issues to the Steering Committee.
• Refine and implement Data Migration standards, templates, and procedures; train staff on tools and processes during deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current/future state data and processes.
• Work with the Cutover Team for Mock Migration and final cutover.

Job Title: Data Migration Specialist

Job Location: Bredebro, Denmark/ Hybrid

Jog Type: Contract - 12 month

Job Description:

The key objective of this role would be to be part of a highly complex S/4 HANA Transformation program as a Data Migration Specialist, managing and executing the entire Data Migration activities from legacy systems to SAP Applications such as S/4 HANA, ARIBA, SuccessFactors, and others.

The ideal candidate must be willing to take End-to-end Ownership of Data Migration. This would include defining the migration strategy, Approach, and due diligence of the migration tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Creation of a Data Migration Plan in alignment with the overall project plan, considering the key milestones.
• Engage and Provide Advisory Services to Clients for data extraction, cleansing, and Data Transformation.
• Engage the Project Team in completing data migration-related milestones such as testing of tools, templates, transformation mapping rules, etc.
• Execution of the Team Plans and schedules, reporting issues, and progress to the Steering Committee.
• Refine and implement Data Migration-related standards, templates, and procedures. Ensure training of Team staff on the use of tools, templates, procedures, and standards as part of the S/4 HANA Deployment Effort
• Engage cross-functional teams to understand the current state, future state landscape, organisational, master data and business processes and requirements.
• Work closely with the Cutover Team for Mock Migration during the testing phase and final cutover.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 20+ years of experience in SAP Consulting, Delivery
• Experience in managing at least 2-3 data migration engagements for complex transformation engagements.
• Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit
• Understanding of ETL concepts
