The Insurance, Wealth and Retirement (IWR) business is focusing on data to enhance operations and modernization efforts. We are redefining our data foundations and seeking experienced Data Managers to join us in transforming how we understand and utilize data, unlocking more business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams to improve data discoverability, accessibility, and quality, enhancing data capabilities in Aviva IWR.
  • Manage data holistically by generating metadata, building data quality and access rules, working with data models, and cataloging data artifacts.
  • Identify and resolve data issues, ensure timely delivery of data products, and monitor activities using metrics to drive improvements.
  • Work with Data Product Owners to define and prioritize data requirements aligned with business goals.
  • Support and promote data management best practices within the team to foster inclusion and collaboration.
  • Drive adoption of innovative data management tools and technologies to support business growth.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in data roles such as data product management, analysis, modeling, or science, preferably in large-scale environments. A degree in a data-related field or professional qualifications like CDMP are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with technical teams, business users, and senior leaders.
  • Practical experience with agile methodologies and tools like Scrum, Kanban, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Leadership qualities that promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
