The Haematology directorate is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to the position of Data Manager in the Clinical Research Group.
Based at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, the post holder will support increasing Experimental Cancer Medicines (ECMC) activity, including new clinical trials in Cellular Therapy. They will provide essential data management support to the team, ensuring that appropriate data collection and monitoring systems are developed and maintained.
Excellent communication skills are required to liaise with colleagues across the Health Board and external organisations. Previous experience in a similar NHS data management role, a high level of IT ability, and excellent analytical skills are advantageous.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This role is based within the Clinical Research Group at the University Hospital of Wales, which houses many trials for blood cancer patients. The unit manages approximately 65 trials across 10 disease areas and is a centre of excellence for leukaemia research. It is expanding its staff to offer more treatments to patients across Wales.
