This is an excellent opportunity to join the Data & Analytics team during a significant transformation in the UK financial services sector. We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and forward-thinking Data Manager to support our efforts in delivering exceptional solutions to customers, ensuring data is well-managed, accurate, and trusted, laying the foundation for AI and future technologies.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating to embed data ownership, improve data roles and responsibilities, and implement data strategy improvements.
  • Implementing best practices and tools for managing business rules, data quality, master data, and metadata, including issue resolution processes.
  • Defining and managing Critical Data Elements (CDEs) following governance processes.
  • Enhancing data literacy across platforms by promoting awareness of data practices, privacy standards, and governance, in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Supporting data migrations and new data product development, ensuring data integrity and promoting data by design.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, regulations (e.g., GDPR, BCBS239, SOX), and experience in training across large organizations.
  • Familiarity with data classification, metadata management, and data access governance.
  • Hands-on experience with data management tools like Collibra, Ataccama, and others.
  • Understanding of data management controls in Cloud environments.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in data governance or related roles.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
