Data Management Lead

As a data management lead at Softcat, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating data governance activities, such as data quality assessment, data cataloging, data lineage, data stewardship, data security, and data ethics.

You will work with various stakeholders, such as business users, data owners, data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists, to understand their data needs and expectations, aligning them with organisational goals and strategies.

Responsibilities include:

• Understanding the importance and benefits of Data Governance and Master Data Management.
• Leading Learning & Development initiatives, ensuring key messaging is communicated and tailored to the target department.
• Helping define and implement the organisation's data strategy, aligning it with business goals.
• Ensuring the relevance and functionality of our data governance framework, including processes and rules.

We'd love you to have:

• Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, including knowledge of data requirements within data processes.
• Strong understanding of Master Data Management.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and other data protection regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
